Ice fishing in the largest mountain lake in the Haslital. The Engstlensee is mainly used for catching rainbow trout and, since 1992, an increasing number of Canadian lake trout. There are also a small number of Arctic char in the lake. They are accompanied by a local fisherman (with SaNa permit) and hunters. In winter, Engstlensee can be reached on snowshoes or touring skis via the Gental valley or via Engelberg - Jochpass and from Melchsee-Frutt. Even the journey to this wonderful place of power is a unique natural experience. Far away from the hustle and bustle, you can enjoy pure nature. You will spend the night at the Hotel Engstlenalp.
